Pardon MOI

Friday, August 27th, 2004

Please forgive the dishiveled look of my site right now. I have not quite finished the ‘framework’ and ‘plumbing’ stuff. I hope to get this done before adding any ‘ornaments’ and ‘fluff’.

If it is an eyesore (and I know that it is), and you think you can whip something up for me, I’d be much grateful to hear from you.

New MS SDLC

Friday, August 6th, 2004

MS has recently come up with 2 contrasting software development methodologies in MSF 4.0.

One approach espouses the use of the traditional, and usually more formal practices and the other embraces recent successes in agile methods and processes.

Ive used both methods extensively, but I noticed a greater percentage of on-time and on-budget delivery in using agile methods. It is good that MS has appreciated this. Im sure this new guidance will influence a lot of behemoth organizations which insist on still using similarly monolithic processes–no matter their rate of success.
